Key Features & Advantages

Z-Type Oil-Free Compressor Design

The ZW-2.0/10-16 features a Z-type reciprocating configuration with oil-free lubrication, designed to provide reliable compression while minimizing oil contamination and reducing lubrication-related maintenance requirements in the compression chamber.

Reliable Performance for Liquefied Gases

The compressor is designed for handling low-boiling and volatile liquefied gas media, making it suitable for LPG and related gas transfer and recovery operations.

Stable Operation

The compressor is designed for stable operation under demanding industrial conditions, with a configuration intended to support controlled gas compression and continuous process operation.

Water-Cooled System

The water-cooled configuration helps manage compressor operating temperatures and supports stable operation with inlet gas temperatures of up to 40°C, subject to the specified operating conditions and cooling-water requirements.

Low Vibration & Noise Design

The compressor configuration is designed to support low-vibration and low-noise operation, making it suitable for industrial installations where equipment operating conditions and surrounding environment need to be considered.

Compact Equipment Arrangement

With approximate dimensions of 1900 × 900 × 1200 mm, the compressor offers a relatively compact equipment footprint, allowing flexible integration into LPG and industrial gas facilities.

Versatile Liquefied Gas Applications

The ZW-2.0/10-16 can be applied across different stages of LPG and liquefied gas handling operations.

Typical gas media include:

  • LPG
  • Propane
  • Butane
  • Butene

Depending on the compressor configuration and gas-specific requirements, compatible variants may also be considered for:

  • Propylene
  • Liquid ammonia

Gas compatibility, sealing materials, operating parameters and compressor configuration should be verified for the specific medium before final selection.

Applications

The ZW-2.0/10-16 Liquefied Gas Compressor is suitable for a range of LPG and liquefied gas process applications, including:

  • LPG loading
  • LPG unloading
  • LPG transfer
  • LPG storage operations
  • LPG refueling stations
  • LPG distribution facilities
  • LPG gasification plants
  • LPG cylinder filling and canning facilities
  • Residual gas recovery
  • Residual liquid recovery systems
  • Liquefied gas transportation systems
  • Propane and butane transfer
  • Industrial liquefied gas handling
  • Gas recovery applications

LPG Loading & Unloading

The compressor can be integrated into LPG loading and unloading systems to provide the pressure differential required for controlled transfer between tankers, storage vessels, process equipment and distribution systems.

Its compression capacity makes it suitable for small, medium and larger LPG handling installations, depending on the overall process design.

Residual Gas Recovery

The ZW-2.0/10-16 can be used in residual gas recovery systems to recover remaining gas from storage vessels, pipelines, cylinders and process equipment.

This type of application can be particularly useful during vessel emptying, maintenance, transfer and gas recovery operations.

LPG Storage & Distribution

The compressor can be incorporated into LPG storage and distribution facilities where controlled gas movement and pressure management are required.

Typical installations may include:

  • LPG storage terminals
  • LPG distribution stations
  • LPG refueling stations
  • LPG gasification plants
  • Cylinder filling facilities
  • Industrial LPG handling plants

Liquefied Gas Recovery & Transportation

In addition to LPG applications, suitable compressor configurations can be used for the recovery and transportation of low-boiling volatile gases such as propane and butane.

For applications involving propylene or liquid ammonia, the final compressor selection should be based on the actual gas properties, pressure-temperature conditions, material compatibility and process requirements.

Customization Options

The ZW-2.0/10-16 series can be configured according to project-specific requirements.

Possible customization areas include:

  • Flow capacity
  • Suction pressure
  • Discharge pressure
  • Gas medium
  • Compressor structure
  • Cooling method
  • Installation arrangement
  • Drive configuration
  • Motor specifications
  • Control and instrumentation
  • Skid or packaged configuration
  • Process integration requirements

This allows the compressor system to be adapted for different LPG storage, transfer, recovery, distribution and industrial gas handling projects.

Safety Considerations

LPG and other low-boiling liquefied gases can be flammable, pressurized and hazardous, requiring appropriate process and equipment safety measures.

The complete compressor installation should be designed with suitable:

  • Pressure relief systems
  • Gas-tight piping and connections
  • Isolation valves
  • Gas detection where required
  • Emergency shutdown systems
  • Appropriate ventilation
  • Explosion-protected electrical equipment where applicable
  • Grounding and bonding
  • Pressure and temperature monitoring
  • Gas-compatible seals and components

For ammonia, propylene or other specialized gases, additional gas-specific safety and material compatibility requirements should be evaluated during engineering.
